Character Profile
Subject: Benny “The Wig” Perelli Affiliation: Independent (The Streets / Moretti Informant)
I. THE IDENTITY
- Full Name: Benjamin Perelli
- Moniker: “The Wig”
- Other Aliases: “The Loose Thread”, “The Human Sweat-Gland”
- Role: Street Informant / Liability / Panic Specialist
- Age in 1987: 48
- Vibe: Perpetually panicked and out of breath. Benny is the guy who knows too much and sleeps too little. He isn’t the muscle; he’s the guy the muscle is looking for.

II. PHYSICAL PRESENCE
- The Silhouette: A short, round-bellied man who is always in a state of motion, even when standing still. He has a twitchy, bird-like way of moving his head.
- The Face: A face characterized by wide, darting eyes and a permanent sheen of nervous sweat. He looks like he hasn’t had a full night’s sleep since the 70s.
- The Wardrobe: An iconic, bright blue 1980s Adidas-style tracksuit. Practical for running, what the Wig does best.
- The Trademark Item: A thick, dark brown toupee that sits just a little too high on his forehead. It never moves, even when Benny is sprinting for his life, making it the most stable thing in his world.
- The Location: Usually found in back alleys, leaning against dumpsters, or lurking near payphones, looking over his shoulder for the next name on the hit list.
III. THE BACKSTORY
- The Origin: Benny has spent his life on the fringes of the Valient City underworld. He’s a fast-talker who made a career out of being “the guy who knows a guy,” but his big mouth eventually got him in deeper than he could swim. He’s survived this long only because he’s faster to bolt than anyone else in the borough.
- The Motivation: Pure, unadulterated fear. Benny’s only goal is to stay alive long enough to retire to a double-wide in Florida, but his own paranoia keeps him running in circles.
- The Hook: “The Wig isn’t the muscle, he’s the loose thread—fast-talking and even faster to bolt.”
- The Flaw: Paranoia. He’s convinced everyone—from the mailman to the priest—is a narc or a hitman. This makes him jumpy and incredibly difficult to corner, but it also means he’s a massive liability in a quiet operation.
IV. GAME MECHANICS (The “Game of Death”)
- Main Role: The Slip (Passive). Benny is surprisingly hard to catch simply because he’s always on the lookout for a way out. He spots the hit coming long before the shooter clears leather.
- Specialist Skill: The Panic Floor (Active). Benny’s hair stands up the second he hears a siren. By the time the Cop steps out of the cruiser, Benny is three blocks away and his Boss is right behind him.
- The Result: Once per game, if the Police land on a space you occupy, Benny may activate this skill. The player immediately advances 5 spaces forward, bypassing the police interaction entirely. This reflects a high-speed, panic-fueled getaway.
- Execution Difficulty (ED: 4): Benny has a higher defensive rating than his stature suggests. The attacker must spin a 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 to successfully Whack him. If they spin 1 through 4, Benny ducks into a crowd and the hit fails.
